Adidas Shinpads - Everything You Need To Know

By Dekster Primo

Like all good shinpad makes, Adidas design their shin pads to be as comfortable as possible whilst offering substantial protection to the players that wear them. There are literally hundreds of different styles and designs so there is something for everyone. There is also quite a large range of price points so there is something for every budget. At the bottom of the range is the Adidas Anatomic, which retails at around 12 and is one of the more basic Adidas Shinpads. It has a hard layer of plastic on the front to protect the shin and a strap that keeps it in place.

A large number of their range have a polyester sock which contain pads that aide ankle protection. This is often detachable from the main shin pad so can be work with or without it, which makes it ideal for training sessions.

There are a huge range of Adidas shinpads available and all at different prices. They also come to a large range of colours so it's possible to get a set that match the colours of your team.

Adidas also have a range of women's shinpads. These pads have great technology on them too, designed with women in mind so they fit better and provide greater protection for the women footballer. Adidas shinpads have the technology developed by Adidas for climate regulation. ClimaCool provides heat and moisture management but letting the material breathe so your leg as a constant flow of air to regulate body temperature and reduces that stick sweaty feeling at the end of games.

Every season the technology behind shinpads improves and this shows no sign of stopping. In recent years this has seen adidas produce lighter and lighter shinpads whilst keeping the levels of protection the same. Because the shinpads are so much smaller they no longer slow players down as they offer next to no resistance. - 31493
